The Great Independence Hall of Residence Press Organization, widely referred to as IndyPress, has been awarded the Overall Best Local Press Organization.

IndyPress’ feat was announced at the UCJ 36TH administration Dinner ceremony held at Sultan Bello Dome, UI.

IndyPress Organization is a forty-year-old local press organization. It is situated in C-Block axis of the Great Independence Hall of Residence, University of Ibadan.

Commenting, the Editor-in-chief of IndyPress, Aduwo Ayodele noted that the award is another call to commit the best of efforts into the practice of impact-driven journalism.

“This recognition is a testament to the dedication, resilience, and journalistic excellence of our team, who have worked tirelessly to uphold the highest standards of campus reporting’ Aduwo Ayodele, IndyPress Editor-in-chief remarked.

“We remain committed to delivering unbiased, insightful, and impactful journalism that informs, educates, and inspires our university community. The journey continues, and we pledge to keep setting the pace in campus journalism,” IndyPress Editor-in-chief added.
