Indy team has been eliminated from the Inter-Hall Freshers’ Cup following a 3-0 defeat to the Kenneth Mellanby team.

Mellanby took the lead early in the game, capitalizing on a defensive error from the Indy side.

The second half saw two more goals from Mellanby, the first of which visibly disoriented the Katangites. Mellanby sealed their dominance with a third goal, securing their place in the final.

In the second semi-final, Zik advanced to the final after a penalty shootout win against Tedder.

Tedder opened the scoring with an early goal, but Zik responded with a well-taken free-kick late in the first half, bringing the game to a 1-1 draw at full time.

Zik triumphed in the penalty shootout to book their place in the final.

The final match in the male category is scheduled for Thursday, 15th May 2025, with Zik set to face Mellanby.

In the female category, Queen Elizabeth II Hall (Queens) secured their spot in the final with a narrow 1-0 victory over Idia Hall. It was an intense contest, with both teams pushing hard for a win.

Queens topped the table with 4 points, followed by Idia with 3 points. Awo Hall, finishing with just one point, fell short of expectations.

The female category final stage has been sealed as Queenites will face Idiates.
