The Legislative Council of the Great Independence Hall of Residence has approved a budget of ₦680,600 for the 2025 Freshers’ Week.

The budget was ratified on May 17, 2025, during the first emergency sitting of the 14th Assembly, held at the hall’s newly renovated Junior Common Room.

According to the breakdown, the approved funds will cover expenses such as refreshments, transportation, DJ services, a ball, palm wine, venue decoration, and other related costs.
