Again, UI’SRC Postpones Sitting Over Failure to Form Quorum

The Students’ Representative Council, University of Ibadan, again postponed its fourth ordinary sitting on Saturday, November 1, 2025.

The sitting, which was intended to address the state of the Union, Disciplinary Committee report, and other pressing concerns was adjourned due to the low turn out of the members of the Council.

The Shoge Quadri-led 12th Assembly has shown perpetual disregard for attendance at its sittings. The Council has postponed its sittings at least four times in the 2024/2025 academic session due to failure to form a quorum.

Despite the sitting not being held, the Speaker of the Council, Shoge Quadri, directed that refreshments (rice, meat, and water) be provided to the Honourable members present.

As suggested by an Honorable member, the Speaker instructed that a comprehensive list of Honourables who were absent or late be compiled before the end of the following week for appropriate disciplinary sanctions.
