The National Association of the Ogun State Students, University of Ibadan Chapter, held a get-together and handover ceremony on Saturday, November 15, 2025.
The event, which took place at Nnamdi Azikwe Hall Junior Common Room, saw the coming together of UI students from Ogun State to celebrate ‘Omo Ogun Day’
Giving his farewell speech, Adeyemi Oladipupo, the immediate past President of UI-NAOSS, reflected on the achievement and challenges faced by his administration.
He appreciated members of his Executive Council and some alumni for what he described as their support to his administration.
Mr. Adeyemi further urged new executives to uphold the legacy of the association.
“Thank you everyone for coming here to celebrate this gracious day. The journey so far has not been easy. But with the support of you people, we were able to scale through,” he said.
“It is very important that the new executives continue to preserve the noble legacy of NAOSS. The association did not die under my tenure. I believe it won’t also be under the watch of the new administration,” he added.
In his inaugural speech, the new President of the association, Otunubi Gbolahan, pledged to ensure that the National Association of the Ogun State Students is inclusive under his tenure.
“Our mission is to ensure that this association is inclusive. Also, we will continue to preserve the legacy of the association,” Mr. Gbolahan said.
The Executive Council of the association for the 2025/2026 academic session is to be led by Otunubi Gbolahan as the President; Olaiya Ismiat as Vice-President; Taofeek Olatunji as General Secretary; Mostura Olamiji as Public Relations Officer; Gbadegesin Abdulmatin as Financial Secretary and Oluwatayo Oluwasetimin as Assistant General Secretary.
