The 14th Assembly of the Great Independence Hall of Residence was formally dissolved on Saturday, February 7, 2026, bringing to an end the legislative tenure led by Rt. Hon. Gbadebo David.
The dissolution took place during a valedictory sitting held at the Junior Common Room of the hall.
Before the dissolution, floor representatives delivered valedictory remarks, audit reports were presented, and issues relating to the Katanga package were discussed.
The speaker officially dissolved the 14th assembly at exactly 8:37 PM following a motion moved by Hon. Matthew Ugochukwu and seconded by Hon. Bello Opeyemi Ibrahim.
