The Young Climate Champion(YCC) on Saturday, 16th of September, had a clean-up exercise to celebrate World CleanUp Day.
The event was held at Agbowo around 8am with several students. The Agbowo Clean-up project was initiated by an organization known as “Young Climate Champion”.
The project had a total number of 50 participants who sensitized Agbowo residents on the importance of keeping their environment clean.
The participants were all dressed in the dress code of shirts, jeans and sneakers.
Speaking with Indy Press, Mr Ayomide expressed to this correspondent how it felt to be part of the project, “I am very happy to be part of this project as I was able to raise my voice for the cleanliness of Agbowo, an area which is very dirty.”
Another participant, Deborah, was satisfied with the effect of the project on the Agbowo residents. “The project is worth doing as it enlightens and exposes the residents of Agbowo to the need to clean the area to guarantee sound health,” she said.
The clean-up project started around 8am and ended at 10:20 am.
