The swearing-in of the Indy Hall EXCO for the 2021/2022 session was held today, Tuesday, 18th January 2022,  at the Indy Hall Junior Common Room.

Coming after the election of the members of the Evolution Team on Tuesday, 14th December 2021, the swearing-in saw the Olaogun Temitope- led administration hand over power to the Adejumo Uthman-led administration.

During his address, the Hall Warden, Dr. Adejumobi, in his words to the newly elected exco admonished ” recognize the significance of the oath and the responsibility lies on you to be responsible towards your goals”. He further reiterated the importance of diligence in office.

The Hall Master, Prof. Ajayi, who is constitutionally vested with the powers to administer the oath of office, conducted the swearing-in of the new exco. In his address to the newly sworn-in leaders, the Hall Master, Prof. Ajayi, praised the outgoing executive and admonished the newly elected exco to build on the antecedent by the outgoing administration.

The Hall Master, Prof. Ajayi, the Hall Warden, Dr. Adejumobi, Assistant Hall Wardens, some Hall Supervisors, the immediate past Administrator-General of the Hall, Mr. Olaogun Temitope, the Speaker of the Hall, Rt. Hon. Ajenifuja Toluwalase and the members of the executive council were all present at the ceremony.

Recall that the election, which was held on 14th December 2021 saw Mr. Adejumo Uthman Olalekan emerge as the Administrator-General, Mr. Ogunbure Oluwalonimi as the Secretary of State, Mr. Olaniyan Ibrahim as the House Secretary, Mr. Ogunremi Samuel as the Financial Secretary, Mr. Alabi Samuel as the Defense Commissioner, and Mr. Jesubiyi Damilare as the Sports Commissioner, and Mr. Akintunde Waheed as the Health Commissioner.

The Evolution Team is expected to run the student-related affairs of the Hall for the 2021/2022 session which commences from 30th of January, 2022.
