The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor Kayode Adebowale, has stated that the University of Ibadan intra-campus cab and tricycle operators are ambassadors of the university, while stressing the need for them to uphold its legacy.

Professor Kayode Adebowale made this assertion  while receiving members of the Intra-Campus Transport Committee (ICTC), led by its Chairman, Professor Olumide Olajide, during a courtesy visit to his office to present the newly elected executive members of the cab and tricycle operators to the university management.

The Vice-Chancellor further appreciated the efforts of the members of the ICTC, while acknowledging the complexities attached to coordinating activities in the park.

The Chairman of ICTC, Professor Olumide Olajide, had earlier introduced the nine members of the executive committee of the association to the Vice-Chancellor, noting that their tenure took effect from August, 2025.
