The Students’ Representative Council, University of Ibadan, is set to hold its fifth emergency sitting on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, IndyPress reports.
According to a memorandum co-signed by the Speaker of the Council, Shoge Quadri and the Clerk, Adedeji Praise, the emergency sitting is intended to address the reconstitution and re-sit of the Council’s Disciplinary Committee over “alleged constitutional oversight.”
“This is to officially notify all Honorable members of the Students’ Representative Council of the fifth emergency meeting… Your punctuality and active participation is critical to reaching a thorough and unified decision,” the Council wrote.
According to the University of Ibadan Students’ Union Constitution, the Disciplinary Committee of SRC is responsible for “disciplinary actions against members and any erring officers of the Union.”
The Constitution further states that “the decision of the Committee shall be final and binding on any erring member except reviewed by the Council.”
The emergency is billed to hold at 5PM at the SRC Chamber, situated at the Kunle Adepeju Memorial Building.
