After One-Week Suspension, Indy Hall AG to Resume Office Today 

 

The Administrator of the Great Independence Hall of Residence, Peculiar Adedeji, will resume office today after serving  a one-week suspension.

Recall that the hall’s Legislative Council, led by Hon Gbadebo David, suspended the Administrator General for “financial irregularities,  administrative negligence and  defiance of the constituted authority” on October 15, 2025.

During the period of suspension, the hall’s Secretary of State, Abiola Olaniyi, was mandated to assume the position of the Administrator General pending the expiration of his suspension.

While Peculiar Adedeji will resume office today, the case of the hall’s Defence Commissioner, Onasanwo Adetomiwa, who was suspended indefinitely  and referred to the Council’s Audit and Disciplinary Committee for receiving fine payment into his personal bank account, is yet to be  officially addressed as of the time of filling this report.
