Students of the University of Ibadan have remained resolute in the protest against policies they term unfavorable, also following the delay of the meeting meant to address the concerns raised by the students.

Earlier, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Professor Olapegba had informed students that the second phase of meeting held between the University Management and the Students’ Union would reconvene at 2:30 PM.

Confirming the delay, the Students’ Union President, Bolaji Aweda attributed it to a concurrent Assessment and Promotion meeting held by the School Management on the same day.

“The postponement is due to the ongoing assessment meeting,” Aweda stated.

As of the time of this report, at Trenchard Hall, UI, students have continued their demonstration, maintaining that they will not leave until their concerns are addressed.
