The Students’ Representative Council, University of Ibadan (UI SRC) on Friday, April 7th lifted the temporary ban which earlier on was placed on the operation and activities of the UISU TV.
The new resolution was made as an announcement during the 7th plenary sitting which deliberated on the issue of the breach of the constitution by the Public Relations Officer, complicity by the Office of the Treasurer, and improper management of the UI’SU TV by the Public Relations Officer, Olalekan Michael Ajibola.
It should be noted that the temporary suspension of the operations of the TV came on the news of the initial investigation conducted by IndyPress and the Union of Campus Journalists over the running of the WhatsApp TV.
With the ban lifted, the office of the Public Relations Officer has been allowed to resume operation of the WhatsApp TV, and is to act forthwith following the provision of the constitution.
