I Love You No More

Be it far that I be enthralled to you

Your love will I interchange for leaven

As chicks despise the hunting raven

Will I hate words that from your heart ensue

The things I love about you are no more

Gone with the spell cast on the eye of love

We shall hence depart and tread separate paths

And leave no trace of goodbyes in the air.

You’re the very drought that smothered young plants

That strived to find succour in Savannah

Yes. That sluiced out life from our tender warmth

Your love is a bait. I’ve declared a fast.

Love as a wave exudes from collision,

Makes ripples but hushes to extinction.
