The University of Ibadan Students’ Union Executive Committee has informed the student community about the final extension of the fee payment deadline, which will lapse on Tuesday, July 8, 2025.
The Students’ Union Executive Committee made this known in a statement jointly signed by the Students’ Union President, Covenant Odedele, and General Secretary, Segun Olowu, on July 7, 2025.
According to the Students’ Union leadership, the fee payment deadline extension was made possible after engagements with the University management.
Recall that the payment deadline was initially scheduled for June 30, 2025.
“Following the closure of the student portal on June 30, the Students’ Union has remained actively engaged with the University Management, continuously monitoring and evaluating the situation with a holistic, student-centered perspective. In the course of this, we received numerous reports and complaints from students who, despite genuine efforts, were unable to complete their fee payment and course registration before the deadline,” the memo reads.
“It is on this note that we announce that the student portal has now been reopened for an additional 24-hour window, starting from 10 AM today, July 7, 2025, and will close finally and irrevocably tomorrow, July 8, 2025, by exactly 10 AM.”
The Union further advised students to take advantage of the deadline extension, while reiterating its commitment to prioritizing students’ welfare.
