Daughters’ Dream for Empowerment and Education Initiative is set to hold Ibadan Female Health Conference, scheduled for 29th and 30th of August, 2025.

The event, tagged “Healthy Present Thriving Future,” will take place at the Faculty of Science Lecture Theatre, University of Ibadan.

In an interview with IndyPress on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, Mrs. Oyedokun Victoria, Project Manager at DDEEI, explained that the two-day conference aims to empower the girl child and address pressing health issues affecting young females in Nigeria.

The conference, according to her, is open to interested participants with online registration required.

“We were driven by urgent realities. In Nigeria, 22 million girls are out of school, 145 women die daily from preventable conditions, and one in ten girls misses school due to period poverty. These challenges demand instant interventions and that is why the Ibadan Female Health Conference was born,” Mrs. Victoria said.

“Participants will not only engage in discussions, but also benefit from live workshops, mental health sessions, health insurance enrollment drives, and practical nutrition demonstrations,” she added.

The two-day conference, according to her, will also be accessible to virtual participants.
