Indy Hall Set to Commission Renovated C-Block Reading Room Today

The Great Independence Hall of Residence, University of Ibadan, is set to receive its alumnus, Chief Tony Attah, MD/CEO of Renaissance African Energy Company Limited, on Friday, November 21, 2025, for the commission of its newly renovated C-Block reading rooms.

According to a broadcast signed by Team Altruism, the Peculiar Adedeji-led Indy Hall Executive Council, the visit will take place at 3PM with the commissioning of the newly renovated C-Block reading rooms, followed by UIAA alumni lecture event, to be delivered by Chief Tony.

In an interview with IndyPress, the Administrator General of the Indy Hall, Adedeji Peculiar, clarified that the renovation project was facilitated by the Elders Council, with significant contributions from Chief Attah himself.

“He will be coming around to give a speech to Katanga about his journey from Indy Hall to where he is now as a source of inspiration to everyone,” Peculiar Adedeji told IndyPress.

After his visit to the hall, Chief Attah, according to the Administrator General, will deliver a lecture at the University of Ibadan Alumni Association (UIAA) Worldwide 2025  event, scheduled for 5:00 PM at the Dame Edith Okowa Auditorium, Dr. Michael Omolayole Alumni Complex.

“Every Katangite is expected to be there to cheer him on and ensure he feels welcomed home,” he added.
