The Great Independence Hall of Residence Electoral Commission (KRIEC) has officially released the results for the Floor Representative election held on Saturday, December 20, 2025.
The result was disclosed by the Katanga Republic Independent Electoral Commission (KRIEC) through a document revealing the outcome of the Indy Hall general election for the 2024/2025 academic session.
The electoral results for the Floor Representative positions are as follows;
Floor A1 Constituency
A total of 36 votes were recorded. Gbadegesin Abdulmatin emerged as the winner with 30 votes (83.33%).
Six void votes were recorded.
Floor A2 Constituency
Akeredolu Taiwo Joshua won with 45 votes (97.83%) out of 46 total votes cast.
One vote was declared void.
Floor A3 Constituency
Olaniyan Abdulsamad secured all 51 votes recorded (100%).
No void votes were recorded.
Floor A4 Constituency
A total of 68 votes were cast. Olujemibola Tirenioluwa O. won with 40 votes (58.82%), followed by Ajayi Jesuferanmi Eberechi with 25 votes (36.76%).
Three void votes were recorded.
Floor B1 Constituency
Bello Ibrahim Opeyemi received 47 of the 48 total votes (97.92%).
One void vote was recorded.
Floor B2 Constituency
Oyebamiji Abdullah emerged as the winner with 57 of the 59 votes cast (96.61%).
Two void votes were recorded.
Floor B4 Constituency
Ogunleye Timilehin Matthew won with 41 votes (71.93%) out of 57 cast.
Adeoye Daniel followed with 14 votes (24.56%).
Two void votes were recorded.
Floor C1 Constituency
Ugochukwu God’swill won with 29 of the 32 votes cast (90.63%).
Three void votes were recorded.
Floor C3 Constituency
Oye Solomon Obafemi emerged as the winner with 48 of the 50 total votes (96%). Two votes were declared void.
A discrepancy was noted in the B3 and C4 constituencies, where the total number of votes did not tally with the number of eligible residents.


As of the time of filing, efforts to reach the KRIEC Chairman, Ayinde Samuel for comment were unsuccessful.
The C2 Constituency remains without a representative as no candidates filed to run for the post. A bye-election is expected to be organized to fill the vacancy.
