Abiodun Oluwatobiloba Samuel, a 400-level student of Wood Product Engineering, Faculty of Technology, University of Ibadan, has emerged as the 54th Ab Chief of the Kegites Club of Nigeria, National Headquarters, University of Ibadan.
His emergence followed the club’s coronation ceremony held on Saturday, January 10, 2026.

In his appreciation message, Abiodun expressed gratitude to members of the club and supporters who contributed to his emergence.
“For it is written in the book of Bookosis that he who is incapable of appreciating deeds done is tantamount to a brazen highway robber,” he said, while giving thanks to Baba Eledumare for witnessing what he described as a historic day.
“I say thank you to each and everyone that contributed to this beautiful journey that has just commenced. I look forward to a prosperous administration ahead. May Baba Eledumare bless our endeavours, guide our footsteps, and abide with us from today, come tomorrow, wentijor,” he added.
Speaking with IndyPress, Abiodun said his administration would focus on promoting cultural values and building a lasting legacy within and beyond the University of Ibadan.
“The Kegites Club of Nigeria is all about promoting and preserving our local culture. I intend to focus on that, while also building a legacy in the University of Ibadan and beyond,” he said.
