UI Extends School Fees Payment Deadline to May 11

The University of Ibadan Students’ Union has announced a further extension of the deadline for the payment of school fees for the 2025/2026 academic session, shifting it from April 30 to May 11, 2026.

This was disclosed in a notice co-signed by the Students’ Union President, Deboye Temidayo, and the General Secretary, Joshua O. Shontan, on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.

“The Students’ Union of the University of Ibadan wishes to inform the general student body that following sustained engagements with the University Management, an additional extension has been granted on the deadline for school fees payment and course registration,” the notice reads.

According to the Union, course registration remains tied to the payment of fees and must be completed within the extended period.

Students are also advised to take advantage of this window to complete all necessary payments and registrations.

The extension, the Union noted, was granted in consideration of ongoing challenges faced by students, including issues related to NELFUND disbursement and payment processes.

However, the Union stressed that no further extension should be expected.

“Students should note that this is a concession, not a continuous adjustment. Further extensions may not be guaranteed.”
