The University of Ibadan’s Industrial Training Coordinating Centre (ITCC) has announced the commencement of registration for the 2025/2026 Students’ Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) programme, which is scheduled to close on Friday, April 17, 2026.

This was disclosed through a notice signed by the Assistant Director of the Industrial Training Coordinating Centre, Engineer T. A Olaoye, on Thursday, March 12, 2026.

“The 2025/2026 Students’ Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) registration exercise has commenced and will end on Friday, 17th of April 2026 with no extension,” the notice reads.

New students are required to visit the registration portal to create a SIWES account, after which they will sign in to complete the registration process for the SIWES module to be undertaken this session.

New students are advised to use an email and password that can be easily recalled when creating their account while eligible returning students are advised to have submitted their training documents for the previous SIWES session before logging into their portal to register for the new session.

It also added that eligible students are to submit a printed copy of the registration form and a photocopy of the school receipt to the IT Coordinating Centre through their class representatives.

“The printed registration form and a photocopy of the school receipt should be submitted to the Centre through each departmental class representative. The class representatives are to come along with the list of names of all registration forms submitted to them.”

According to the notice, students without a school fee receipt at the time of registration may submit the registration form and provide the receipt at a later date.

For students proceeding on a six-month SIWES, details of their personal bank account and bank sort code are to be included in the registration form.

The notice also added that students can also request and download their SIWES introduction letters upon approval and search the company directory within their portal for SIWES job placement.

The Centre also advised students to adhere strictly to the registration guidelines to avoid late registration and possible penalties.
