The Oyo State Police Command has urged student residents around the Agbowo axis to remain calm amid reported security concerns in the area.

Earlier on Sunday evening, an alarm was raised by concerned students advising residents to avoid the Agbowo area over an alleged cult clash.

Speaking with IndyPress, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Oyo State Police Command, Mr Ayanlade stated that security operatives had already been deployed to the area.

“The Commissioner of Police has directed the OC Anti-Cultism, OC VCRU, and the DPO Sango to the said area. We urge all residents to remain calm and provide necessary information,” he said.

As of the time of filing this report, the exact nature of the reported clash could not be independently verified.
