In a felicitations message addressed to the newly elected executives of the Great Independence Hall, Mr. Thomas Ajayi ( 2016/2017 Speaker of Indy Hall Legislative House), on Thursday, 16th of December 2021, charged members of the House to ensure a Katangite take over as the next Students’ Union President.

This message was sent on a WhatsApp group named ‘1Indy1Voice1Family’.

In his words, ” Katanga Republic needs a vibrant, coherent, and visionary Students’ Union President for the next session. If it must be achieved, now is the time to start”.

He further encouraged the newly elected executives, to begin their search for potential students and also start the real politicking across halls, faculties and organizations.

It should be recalled that all candidates from the Great Independence Hall, who ran for political positions in the last SU election lost to their opponents.
