On Sunday, 13th of February 2022, a total of N1,073,575 was approved by the Indy Hall Legislative Council as the budget for the 2021/2022 academic session for Executive and Legislative offices in the hall. The budget which was presented on Friday, 11th February 2022 was scrutinized and re-presented by the Honorable Olaoye Samuel-led financing and budgeting committee. At the end of the presentation and the consequent the deliberations by lawmakers, the following amounts were approved for the respective offices in the hall:
- N367,870 was approved for the office of the AG instead of the presented sum of N426,930
- N121,485 was approved for the office of the Secretary of State instead of the presented amount of N134,557.
- For the office of the Public Relations Officer, a sum of N33,600 was approved instead of the presented amount of N42,000.
- N73,185 was approved for the office of the House Secretary instead of the presented amount of N95,970
- The office of the Finance Commissioner got N48,720 instead of the presented amount of N29,190.
- For the office of the Health Commissioner, a sum of N33,684 was approved instead of the presented amount of the N41,769.
- N62,263 was approved for the office of the Defense Commissioner instead of the presented amount of N68,500.
- Finally, the office of the Sports Commissioner got N52,868 instead of the presented sum of N118,440.
The budget ratification process ended with a vote of thanks from the Administrator general to the members of the legislative council.
