On Thursday, 9th March, the University of Ibadan announced a time extension for virtual classes and declared Monday, 20 March 2023 as the new date for physical resumption.
The new dates were announced following the postponement of the gubernatorial and state house of assembly elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) across the affected states in the country.
“Consequent upon the postponement of gubernatorial and States Houses of Assembly elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission, the University community is hereby informed that virtual lectures for students will continue until Friday, 17 March 2023″ The statement reads.
With this change, students are expected to resume physical classes immediately after the rescheduled elections.
