The University of Ibadan, under the aegis of UI Women Society, on Saturday, December 23, 2023 organized an end of the year get-together for children of staff in the University.
The merrymaking event which took place at Professor Ayo Banjo Manor, the official residence of the Vice-Chancellor, was well attended by children, and a few parents.
Members of the University of Ibadan Women Society (UIWS), at which the President, Dr Yemisi Ajibola Adebowale, was ably represented by the wife of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Mrs Temilola Olapegba, welcomed both the children and present dignitaries to the gathering.
Games, quizzes, prizes, eatables and music were the major featured activities at the occasion.
Expressing his heartfelt regard, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kayode O. Adebowale, conveyed the University’s appreciation in organizing the party for the children, who are the leaders of tomorrow.
Giving his benediction, the Vice Chancellor prayed that the children would grow to be greater than their parents, and that the University of Ibadan would continue to flourish.
