Uyi and Rachel Lawani Foundation Sets To Hold 2nd Annual Lecture Series On Decolonization

The Uyi and Rachel Lawani Foundation, in conjunction with the West African Transitional Justice Center, will on Thursday, 22nd of August, 2024, hold its second annual lecture series on decolonization.

The theme of the lecture is “Decolonizing Political thought and Action: Panacea for Nigeria’s Failure to Build Viable Political Movement”.

The lecture slated to commence by 4 pm prompt will be held at Draper’s Hall, Institute of African studies, University of Ibadan.

Dr. Malcolm Fabiyi, the Chief Executive Officer, Optimabiome, LLC and Founder, GAIN (Governance Advancement Initiative for Nigeria) is the Guest Speaker, and Mr. Egghead Odewale, the Former Director-General Bureau of Public Procurement, Ekiti State would moderate the session.

Decolonisation‘ is a process of identifying colonial systems, structures and relationships, and working to challenge those systems.
