The INCITIS-FOOD, an organisation concerned with improvement of food system in African cities has on the 5th of February commisioned a living laboratory.
The consortium, the living lab and all its various buildings were opened by Professor Aderonke Baiyeroju, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics).
At the official opening of the research and training facilities, Dr. O. O Oyebola, the Principal Investigator of the programme emphasized the importance of disseminating vital research and developmental innovation.
According to him, “vital research and developmental innovation that is not disseminated is a waste”.
The establishment of living lab, accordingly, will address the challenge of adequate agricultural land for food production in the cities.
The facility has a 40-participants capacity building outdoor training center.
