The Clash of Thoughts, an inter-tertiary debate competition, will be held between 10 to 13 March, 2021 at the Lagos State University, Ojo. The University of Ibadan Debate Team will slug it out with the Adekunle Ajasin University Debate Team at the preliminaries of the maiden edition of Clash of Thoughts.
The Clash of Thoughts is an inter-tertiary debate competition organised by the Southwestern zone of the National Association of Nigerian Students. Sixty speakers from thirty schools across all six states in the geo-political zone will slug it out for the grand prize. All thirty teams that will be slugging it out were shortlisted from the initial entries received by the NANS Clash of Thoughts Organising Committee on the topic, “National Unity: The Strength of the Youth and Education“. University of Ibadan came first amidst the shortlisted schools with a score of 88, which led to the school’s pairing with the Ondo-located Adekunle Ajasin University.
University of Ibadan and Adekunle Ajasin University will be debating on the topic, “Secession; Solution to Nigeria’s Woes” come 10th March, 2021.
