Bello Upsets Indy in a 2-1 Win

Out of everything that raced through Katangites minds, being defeated by Bello was surely not one of them. Although, there are margins for doubt in football, but in this case, it was negligibly minimal that the thought of it would have made a mockery. On the flip side, it occurred that Bello had other plans, as the relentlessly defiant side unsettled the Katanga Warriors in a match characterised by poise and a mesh of frustration and tenacity.

UI College of Medicine Releases MBBS And BDS Part 1 Examination Results

On Monday 6 September, 2021 the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, released the results of the MBBS and BDS Part I degree examination, nearly a month after the completion of the examinations.

The Part I examination, commonly known as “MB”, ais a barrage of examinations taken by 300-level MBBS and BDS students as a culmination of their preclinical training. This exam which comprises Viva voce (oral examinations), written essays and the all-important steeplechase practical sessions, serves as the determinant to know if the medical students will move to the University College Hospital for the clinical arm of their training.

“Boys Without Borders Not Just an Organization But A Movement” – John Dare Okafor

John ‘Dare Okafor, in addressing new volunteers with Boys Without Borders – a boy child organisation created to stand in advocacy, orientation and sensitisation of the boy-child – said that the initiative is not just an organization but a movement that is bigger than anyone, even the founders.

The founder said this while briefing the new volunteers on why they were selected and what is required of them. Boys Without Borders welcomed 20 new volunteers to the organization at the Official Onboarding Ceremony which was held on Friday, 3 September 2021, at the Students’ Representative Council Chambers, Students’ Union Building.

Faculty Of Law Wins Lanre Bello Inter-faculty Debate Contest

The Faculty of Law has emerged as the winner of the 11th edition of the Lanre Bello Inter-faculty Debate Competition which was held on Friday, 3 September 2021 at the First Bank Building, Faculty of Agriculture.

The debate, themed “Youth in Politics”, witnessed a large turnout of University of Ibadan students, and particularly, members of the Junior Chambers International, the organization which hosted the competition.
