The new body is expected to oversee the process for the selection of a Vice-Chancellor to succeed erstwhile VC, Prof. Idowu Olayinka.
President Buhari also reconstituted the governing councils of University of Port Harcourt, the University of Lagos, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and the Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Delta State. The inauguration ceremony of the new members is scheduled to hold on April Monday, 19, 2021.
