UI Student, Ayoola Vicotor, Takes Second Place in Osun State Competition

Ayoola Victor Oluwagbemiga, a student of law at the University of Ibadan has won a sum of N300, 000 naira, a laptop along with other prizes for emerging second place at the ‘Independence Day 2021 Osun State Government Essay Competition’ held by the Osun State government. Victor, alongside other winners, was announced at the grand finale of the competition which was held on the Friday, 1 October 2021 at the Staff Development Centre, Multipurpose Hall, Abeere, Osogbo, Osun State.

Being divided into two categories, the competition received entries from both secondary school students and undergraduates, although it only received entries from indigenes of Osun State or students in higher institutions of learning in Osun State.

The competition, which was held to commemorate the 61st year independence anniversary of the country and to also help “build the next generation of leaders in the state”, saw the emergence of the 100-level law student of University of Ibadan as the first runner up.

For the tertiary level from which Victor came second, the other winners were from Bowen University (first place) and Adeleke University (third place).
