Indy Hall Elects PRO and Social and Buttery Commissioner in a Bye Election

On Saturday, 5th of February 2022, the legislative council of the Great Independence Hall held her first sitting for the session at the Junior Common Room. Among other agendum, there was the agenda to fill the vacant positions of the executive arm of the hall which weren’t filled during the last election, conducted by the Katanga Republic Independence Electoral Commission (KRIEC).

Mr. Isa Praise and Mr.  Jimoh Toheeb, both Katangites, showed interest for the office of the PRO and Social and Buttery Commissioner respectively. The bye election which was presided by the Speaker of the house, Rt. Honourable Adenifunja Stephen, saw that the aspirants present their manifestoes to the house.

After several questioning from members of the legislative council and executive members, Mr. Isa Praise and Mr. Jimoh Toheeb were both elected by the legislative council into the office of the PRO and Social and Buttery Commissioner respectively, as they were made to swear an oath of service.
