UI SRC Holds Orientation For Newly Elected Representatives Members

The University of Ibadan Students’ Representative Council 10th Assembly on 2nd of September held its first ordinary sitting of the session.

The sitting which started at 9AM, held at the Kunle Adepoju’s Building had in attendance, 69 Student representatives, including four principal officers.

Following the swearing-in of three co-opted members, the SRC held an orientation programme for the all representative members.

The orientation was done by Rt. Hon. Bolaji Ayinde, a graduate of the prestigious University. The orientation covered the action of the honourables, ways of tabling issues, dressing, prayer, how to draft bills, and respect for the mace. They were also admonished to find ways of maintaining peace among themselves.

“The honourable members should not take their personal rift to the house and start behaving somehow to one another. Honourables are learned and respected people.” Rt. Hon. Ayinde adviced.

As of the time of this report, the sitting is still in progress.
