UI Alumnus Facilitates MOU, Visit, With Keele University England

An alumnus of the University of Ibadan, Dr. Opeyemi Babatunde, who also is a senior lecturer at the School of Medicine, Keele University, through a release by the Directorate of Public Communication, UI on Saturday, 4th of May 2024, was announced to have facilitated a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between Keele University, England and the University of Ibadan.

The MOU, entitled ‘JIGSAW-A project’ in partnership with the University of Ibadan, will provide a grant writing workshop to fifty (50) UI members of staff at a gathering scheduled to be held later in June 2024.

The treaty between the two Universities afforded a two-persons delegation visit to Keele University in April 2024.

The delegation was made up of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research, Innovation and Strategic Partnerships, Professor Oluyemisi Bamgbose; and Dr. Mobolaji Omobowale, the Acting HOD, Agricultural and Environmental Engineering.

In the course of the visit, the UI delegates met with the two Deputy Vice Chancellors of Keele University in charge of Research, and Internationalization to promote an inter-varsity relationship between the two institutions.
