The refuse along the road linking the Jaja Health Center and the Department of Aquaculture at the University of Ibadan (Jaja Avenue) has been cleared, IndyPress reports.

IndyPress previously reported on Sunday, June 28, 2026, that several drainage channels were clogged with refuse, which was exposed by rainfall earlier that day.
Observations by IndyPress as of the time of reporting showed that refuse at other sites, such as the area beside Sultan Bello Hall, has also been cleared. Overflowing waste has been packed since Monday, June 29, 2026.
While the refuse in some of those areas has been removed, poor drainage systems around the affected sites are yet to be fixed, posing a continued threat during heavy rainfall.
