The University of Ibadan has opened its admission portal for prospective candidates seeking Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening for the 2026/2027 academic session.
This was disclosed in a notice released on Monday, June 22, 2026, and signed by the Registrar, G. O. Saliu.
According to the notice, registration is scheduled to commence on Monday, June 22, 2026, and end on Sunday, July 19, 2026; there will be no extensions.
Aspirants are advised to maximize the registration timeline by accessing the portal with the required details.
“Candidates are required to log in to the portal using their JAMB Registration Number as their username and their surname as their initial password.”
Regarding the registration fee, students must pay a screening fee of ₦2,000 and a portal access fee of ₦3,000 via the admission portal using the card or bank transfer payment option. After successful payment, candidates are expected to print their receipt.
The Post-UTME examination is scheduled to take place from Monday, July 27, 2026, to Wednesday, July 29, 2026, with further details to be communicated by the University.
“The examination date for each candidate will be communicated in due course. Candidates are therefore strongly advised to provide valid and active email addresses and phone numbers. The University will not take responsibility for failure to receive information as a result of invalid email addresses and non-functional phone numbers.”
Regarding eligibility criteria for the screening exercise, students seeking admission are expected to have attained the age of sixteen (16) years by September 30, 2026, while meeting the required O’Level requirements for their respective courses of study.
“Candidates seeking admission to programmes at the College of Medicine and Faculty of Pharmacy must possess five (5) credits at one sitting in relevant O’Level subjects. For other programmes, candidates presenting two O’Level results must have at least six (6) credits in relevant subjects.”
The University further clarified that it does not accept IJMB or JUPEB; it only accepts WAEC, NECO, Cambridge Advanced Level, or other recognized certificates for Direct Entry. Direct Entry candidates are also required to submit their credentials via email to ugadmissions@stu.ui.edu.ng.
