The Legislative Council of the Great Independence Hall of Residence has adopted a report by its Publicity Committee which flagged irregularities in the discharge of duties by the Hall’s Public Relations Officer, Sodiq Hammed.
This report was presented by the Chairman of the Publicity Committee, Hon. Akeredolu Joshua, during the Council’s 4th Ordinary Sitting held at the Indy Hall Junior Common Room (JCR).
According to the Committee Chair, the report is centred on the PRO’s performance during the previous semester alongside concerns arising from the discharge of his official responsibilities.
Also speaking on the report presented, the Indy Hall Speaker, Rt. Hon. Abdulmatin Gbadegbesin said the PRO had been given an opportunity to respond to the issues raised before the report was finalised.
“The public relations officer has been called before this time to allow fair hearing. Today is just a report day,” he said.
The Council subsequently adopted the committee’s report following motions raised by honorable members of the house.
