Block C Thrashes Elders Block to Lift 2026 Indy Inter-Block Tournament Trophy

Block C has emerged champions of 2026 edition of the Indy Hall Inter-Block Football Tournament after defeating D Block, the Elders block, 5–1 in the final.

The representatives of Block C lifted the Inter-Block Tournament trophy on Saturday, August 15, 2026, following their victory over Block D in the five-a-side tournament held at Indy Hall football pitch (San Siro).

The champions dominated the tournament from start to finish, having earlier defeated Block B 4–1 on aggregate to book their place in the final.

Block C controlled the tempo of the final from the opening minutes. Patrick opened the scoring for the eventual champions after being set up by Toheeb. Patrick later returned the favour, assisting Toheeb for Block C’s second goal.

Block C continued to dominate proceedings and went into the break with a commanding three-goal lead.

David pulled one back for the Elders in the early minutes of the second half, but Block D could not build on the goal as Block C restored their dominance and eventually secured a 5–1 victory.

The tournament was a five-a-side knockout competition played in a single day. The semi-final encounters were played over two legs, with the winners determined on aggregate.

The first semi-final featured Block A, the Freshers’ block, against Block D, the Elders’ block. In the first leg, the Freshers showed their attacking prowess, defeating the Elders 2–1 after taking an early two-goal lead.

However, Block D responded emphatically in the second leg. David scored a hat-trick of headers as the Elders dominated the encounter and secured a 3–0 victory. With Block D leading 2–0 and then 3–2 on aggregate, Malik was shown a red card by the referee.

The Elders eventually defeated the Freshers 4–2 on aggregate to secure their place in the final.

In the other semi-final, Block C faced Block B. The first leg was closely contested, with Block C managing to score once through a composed finish from Toheeb.

The second leg produced a different outcome as Block C extended their advantage through another smart finish from Toheeb. Block B responded through Garnacho, who reduced the aggregate deficit.

However, Block C re-established their dominance beyond question in the second half. They added two more goals to their tally, including a strike from Dumebi, to eventually secure a 4–1 victory on aggregate.
