The Great Independence Hall of residence is set to face Queen Idia Hall in the interhall second leg scheduled for Saturday, September 5, 2026.
According to a broadcast message by the University of Ibadan Literary and Debating Society, the second contact for the hall category is scheduled to start by 4:00 PM at the New Faculty Lecture Theatre (NFLT), Faculty of Science, UI.
Other fixtures released for today’s showdown include Kenneth Mellanby Hall competing against Obafemi Awolowo Hall, and Sultan Bello Hall facing Alexander Brown Hall.
Additionally, Nnamdi Azikiwe Hall is paired against Ransome Kuti Hall, while Lord Tedder Hall will compete against Queen Elizabeth II Hall.
Student supporters and hall representatives are expected to turn out en masse as debaters take the stage to lock horns on pressing political, social, and philosophical motions.
