The Transport Committee of the University of Ibadan Students’ Union has affirmed that boarding or Alighting at Unauthorized Locations Along the Roads is Not Permitted.

This was disclosed in a notice released by the committee on Monday, September 7, 2026.

“Following the recent reinstatement of official bus stop signboards across campus, please be reminded that tricycles (Marwa) and Cabs are strictly permitted to pick up and drop off passengers only at these designated points,” the notice reads.

According to the committee, the directive is a standard campus policy from the pre-COVID era to ensure order and safety to campus transit.
