Indy Press is a member organization here at the Great Independence Hall, but we are an exclusively journalistic outfit. While we are proud to be part of the  Independence Hall community, it’s important to note that we are not the hall’s public relations team – that is the office of the PRO.

Here at Indy Press, we have always maintained a nonpartisan stance on political coverage at the university. Our commitment to unbiased reporting and adherence to journalistic standards is of the utmost importance. Therefore, we will not compromise by providing endorsements or support for any political candidates in the UISU elections – even if they are based at Independence Hall.

To those who may seek our support, we encourage you to focus on your own campaign and refrain from seeking breadcrumbs from us. Our dedication to upholding journalistic integrity remains steadfast, and we will not be swayed by external pressures.

In conclusion, I want to emphasize the importance of our independence as a journalistic organization. This freedom allows us to provide our readers with fair, objective coverage.
