A smart branch of Access Bank Plc has commenced full operation at its permanent site along Barth Road, University of Ibadan.

Promising to take its services to the doorstep of staff and students of the University, the Nigerian multinational commercial bank’s mission is to provide solutions to peculiar financial challenges of students, staff, and other members of the University of Ibadan community and environment, through premium service delivery, human capital, and sound customer experience.

Speaking with IndyPress on Thursday 08, 2023, the Branch Manager, Mr. Olatunji Oguntoye Eric noted that services in the bank, which had commenced on Tuesday, 30th May 2023, have been tailored towards meeting the need of the premier University.

Mr. Yakubu said: “Tailored towards meeting the need of the premier University, the branch’s paramount assignment is to set standards for sustainable business practices that would unleash the talent of our employees, deliver superior value to our customers and provide innovative solutions for the market and the community we serve.”

“Our core values are leadership, excellence, empowerment, passion for customers, professionalism, and innovation” he added.

Explaining the process of service delivery in the bank he described it as seamless, Mr. Olatunji said, “When you walk up into the bank, there is a ticketing system where a customer gets a number tag, after which a customer can have a comfortable seat. Then, there is a queuing system, whereby the assigned number is displayed on the screen, after which a customer can approach our staff, in turn. Customers do not have to stand as a result of long queues.

Reserved as advantages to the University of Ibadan community, the Branch Manager of the bank noted that facilities such as lounge seating arrangement and free internet service connection have been made round-the-clock by the bank to provide stylish rest for students, or for activities like reading or group studying.

“To make students, lecturers, and everyone within the University community comfortable, we have designed special seating lounges within the compound of the bank alongside free wifi service. A seat-out lounge for relaxation even after banking hours, and with cool music” Mr. Olatunji explained.
