The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), University of Ibadan (UI) Branch, will on Thursday, 9th of May, 2024 hold a lecture presentation on the neoliberal policies within Nigeria’s education sector.
The lecture which has been convened by the staff union will also witness the opening and commissioning of the Branch Secretariat.
Speakers at the lecture, according to the Academic Staff Union will engage the topic “Challenging Neoliberal Narratives in Nigeria’s Education Sector: ASUU’s 2022 Strike and Matters Arising”.
The event which is scheduled to hold commence by 10a.m. at the ASUU Secretariat, Ajibode Extension would be attended by the Speaker of the Occasion, Comrade Omotoye Olorode; the University of Ibadan, Vice-Chancellor, Professor K. O. Adebowale; and ASUU National President, Comrade Emmanuel Osodeke as the Special Guest of Honour.
