Speakers at the web-based event are Kayode Okikiolu, a Broadcast Journalist at Channels Television; and Ojo Aderemi, a historian and alumnus of the University of Ibadan.

President of the club, Favour Bamijoko told Indypress that the event was convened to discuss the status of Nigeria since its fourth republic track.

“As in line with the broad goal of the Club which is the development of civic literacy amongst the youths with a view to improving the health of democracy, the Club’s upcoming symposium is an avenue to engender discussions about nationhood” the President said.

“The symposium will largely focus on the plight of a nation, Nigeria, still in the throes of consolidating its 25 years of uninterrupted democratic governance and experience for the people, and the posture of the citizens, including whether the citizens should have a reason for believing in promises of a better Nation” the President added.
