The Great Independence Hall, University of Ibadan on Friday, 19th July, 2024 commenced its freshers’ welcome activities.

Tagged “Verde Hogar: The Festival of Steeze and Tradition,” the fresher welcome had been announced to last till Sunday, 21st July, 2024.

The first day featured games and gyration between the hall residents and members of the Kegite Club of Nigeria, National Headquarters, UI.

Attendees at the event included the Students’ Union President, Aweda Bolaji; the House Secretary, Elemide Daniel;students from other halls of residence, among others.

Other activities outlined were baptism, health talks, and orientation, while concluding with the Freshers Blast event on Sunday, July 21, 2024.
