The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Ayede Sub Region, on Friday, 25th October 2024, confirmed the “delivery of a new 1x63MVA 132/33kV mobile transformer and accessories at the University of Ibadan 132/33kV Transmission Station, Oyo State.”
The transmission company made this known in a tweet on X, through its social media handle.
The delivery was made on October 4, 2024, according to the tweet.
“The new mobile transformer, currently on the plinth awaiting installation, will enhance the Ibadan Electric Distribution Company’s (DisCo) capacity to supply power to customers in University of Ibadan, Samonda, NISER, Ajibode and surrounding areas,” the Transmission Company of Nigeria noted.
“This development is part of the Federal Government’s Presidential Power Initiative project, aimed at rehabilitating and expanding the national transmission grid capacity to ensure reliable and efficient bulk supply to distribution load centers,” the tweet concluded.
