UI Declares Lecture-Free Day, Half-Day of Lectures for UI’SU Week

The management of the University of Ibadan, through the Office of the Dean of Students, has announced approval of a lecture-free day and a half-day of lectures as part of activities marking the UI Students Union Week.

The directive was contained in an internal memorandum signed by the Dean of Students, Professor Demola Lewis, and addressed to the Deans of Faculties on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

According to the memo, Thursday, September 17, 2026, has been declared a lecture-free day, while Friday, September 18, 2026, has been designated as a half-day of lectures.

The Deans of Faculties were also directed to communicate the development to Heads of Departments for implementation.
