Entertainment Editor, IndyPress Organization, University of Ibadan, Favour Bamijoko on Saturday, 7th December 2024 has been announced ultimate WINNER of the Entertainment Category in the 6th Edition of Campus Journalism Awards, convened yearly by Youths Digest.

Youths Digest, the organizer of the annual Campus Journalism Awards (CJA), is a platform which recognizes and celebrates the exceptional work of student journalists across Nigeria.

According to Youths Digest, since its inception in 2018, “CJA has recognized outstanding achievements among Nigerian student journalists, attracting over 2,000 entries from across the nation.”

Favour Bamijoko, a 400-level Law student won with his entry titled, “The Demise of Social Activism in Nigeria’s Music Industry” – published here.

Commenting on his win, Favour Bamijoko expressed delight about his victory, stating that it was a testament to his contribution as a campus journalist in the entertainment world.

“I’m very delighted to have been recognized for the award. I consider it rewarding for the efforts invested in my endeavour as a campus journalist, and equally for the significance of the essay which was considered. I equally extend my congratulatory remarks to Eriomala John, with whom I was paired for the award. Ultimately, it is a testament to our contributions as campus journalists in the entertainment world,” Favour remarked.
