Five days after, University of Ibadan management and the Students’ Union are yet to issue an official statement addressing the technical issues that disrupted the General Studies examination and reportedly left some students writing into the night.
The GES examination which was conducted at the University of Ibadan Distance Learning Centre, Shasha, on Monday, June 1, 2026, has faced criticism from students, who raised concerns about delays and other challenges experienced during the examination exercise.
Recall that IndyPress reported that some students were still at the examination venue as late as 8PM with several concerns being raised regarding the conduct of the examination.

As of the time of filing this report, efforts by IndyPress to obtain comments from the Dean of Students, Professor Demola Lewis, and the Students’ Union President, Deboye Temidayo, were unsuccessful as they are yet to respond to the message sent.
